RGI Staff Involvement at ISAE’s ICON Conference

The Indiana Society of Association Executives (ISAE) will host its annual convention, ICON 2022, from July 17-19 at Belterra Casino Resort in Florence, Indiana. RGI staff will be in attendance both as speakers and attendees to pursue continuing education and create connections with other attendees.

RGI is proudly sponsoring the First Timers Reception, taking place on July 17th. Director of Client and Conference Services Emilie Perkins, CAE, CMP, CMM, PMP, CED, will provide an introduction and welcome at the reception. This session invites ICON attendees to celebrate association professionals’ commitment to growth and break down barriers between early-career professionals and senior-level professionals.

RGI encouraged staff members to attend the conference, resulting in three staff speakers and a total of 14 attendees this year. Presenters from RGI include:

  • Director of Membership Nick Estrada, CAE, CMP, will serve as the moderator for “Developing A Volunteer Pipeline Within Your Association & Your Personal Brand.” This session will demonstrate a variety of volunteer models that associations can utilize to improve volunteer retention rates.
  • Communications Director Evan Hoffmeyer will serve as a panelist answering questions related to governmental affairs on “If You’re Not at the Table – You’re Likely On The Menu.” The panel will discuss how to get the best ROI to demonstrate measurable success and what an advocacy program can do for association boards.
  • RGI Membership Director Melissa Heeke, CAE, MLD, will present one of the closing breakout sessions featuring 2021 STAR Award winners. Melissa will share about the success her team achieved that led to their winning the Outstanding Annual Convention Award.
