Client Success Story: Advancing Careers Through CAE Study Sessions with ISAE

Creating opportunities for professional growth is a core passion at RGI, both for our team and the association professionals we serve each day. One powerful example of this commitment in action is the CAE (Certified Association Executive) Study Session Program we help deliver alongside the Indiana Society of Association Executives (ISAE).

A Proven Path to Success

The CAE is a highly respected credential in the association management industry, and ISAE’s study sessions have a proven track record of helping professionals achieve it. In fact, the program boasts near-perfect pass rates, something we’re incredibly proud to support.

Recently, one participant’s story stood out. After participating in the CAE study sessions, she successfully passed the exam and credited the ISAE program with giving her the confidence and preparation she needed. But her success didn’t stop there. Earning her CAE helped propel her into a senior leadership role within her organization, something she’d been working toward for years.

Thanks to the connections and learning gained through the study sessions, she’s now on a clear path toward her goal of becoming an executive director. Stories like hers are why we do what we do.

Reflecting RGI’s Values

This success story also reflects the core values we uphold at RGI, particularly our belief in lifelong learning and professional development. Many of our own staff members have participated in ISAE’s CAE study sessions, and we continuously encourage our team to pursue credentials like the CAE and CMP (Certified Meeting Professional). These programs equip individuals with valuable skills while fostering a stronger, more connected association community.

Built by Volunteers, Powered by Collaboration

One of the most inspiring aspects of the CAE study program is that it’s almost entirely volunteer led. Every session is facilitated by someone who has earned their CAE—often someone who has previously participated in the program themselves. Co-facilitators rotate through the six-session series, creating opportunities for professionals to give back in a meaningful but manageable way.

This collaboration between staff and volunteers has created a sustainable model that thrives on peer-to-peer learning and community support. It’s a great example of what can happen when a network of dedicated individuals comes together to support one another’s growth.

A Shared Mission

RGI’s partnership with ISAE on the CAE study program represents more than just a successful project. It also embodies our shared mission to empower professionals, elevate careers, and strengthen associations. Whether someone is just starting their credentialing journey or eyeing the executive suite, we’re proud to play a role in helping them get there.
