Raybourn Group International’s Emilie Perkins Named to CMP Fellow Inaugural Class

INDIANAPOLIS (April 7, 2022) ­­- Emilie Perkins, CAE, CMP, CMM, PMP, CED, Director of Client and Conference Services at Raybourn Group International (RGI), was named to the inaugural CMP (Certified Meeting Professional) Fellow class this week by the Events Industry Council (EIC). This recognition is the latest in a career focused on service and continuing education.

Perkins is one of 65 CMP professionals across the United States to be selected as a CMP Fellow. The purpose the CMP Fellows Programme is to give recognition to CMPs who have held their designation for at least 10 years and have made significant contributions through service and education to the meetings and events industry.

“We developed the CMP Fellows Programme to offer unique peer-to-peer experiences and a forum for collaboration for those CMPs that had demonstrated exemplary leadership, a commitment to lifelong learning and to recognise and reward the long-term achievements, as part of our commitment to supporting and showcasing the value of ongoing professional education,” said EIC’s CEO, Amy Calvert.

To be considered for the CMP Fellows Programme, nominees were required to demonstrate:

  • Career progression and growth.
  • Industry contributions through speaking, writing and publishing.
  • Volunteer leadership with EIC.
  • Community engagement and mentoring.

Perkins joined RGI in 2019, bringing 20+ years of experience with strategic meeting management, marketing and design. She utilizes extensive strengths in collaboration, fiscal accountability, strategic planning and communication to serve her clients with excellence. She has designed, executed and evaluated over 1000 meetings of all sizes and types. She is also an Adjunct Faculty at Indiana University where she has co-facilitated the Nonprofit Meeting Management Course since 2017.
