Created in 1994, the Indiana Commercial Board of REALTORS® (ICBR) coordinates required licensure education, industry information, professional networking and public policy for the benefit of its members.
The former ICBR website was cluttered, lacked usability and was difficult for members to navigate. The ICBR Board of Directors challenged the ICBR staff to refresh the website by creating a cleaner look that appropriately promoted the brand, and also provided a comprehensive (yet organized) format.
The goals of the project were simple. ICBR needed the refreshed website to do three things: define complex membership structure, consolidate information and validate the organization. By using staff expertise and resources, and a minimal budget (less than $500!), ICBR was able to achieve each of these goals through careful content revisions, a modern design template and a consistent brand standard. The launch of the website in November 2012 received excellent reviews from ICBR members, and has since become the go-to location for event registration, membership renewals and state licensure updates.
