Nancy has worked in funeral service for over 16 years and brings that experience to her work with an association for independent funeral homes. She has expertise in the field of grief with Certifications as a Grief Management Specialist, Grief Services Provider and Funeral Celebrant. She is also a Certified Laughter Leader, published author and professional speaker. Nancy uses her background to design innovative new programs and leads staff trainings on how to communicate the value of their business to people in their community, as well as how to provide “wow” level customer service. She also facilitates a monthly virtual grief support group.

A graduate of Empire State College with a bachelor’s degree in Business, Management and Economics, Nancy has served as Community Outreach and Marketing Director for cemeteries in the Buffalo, NY area as well as Veterans Funeral Care in Clearwater, FL. Through her company, The Laugh Academy, Nancy travels the country teaching busy professionals how to “stress less and laugh more.”

Nancy and her husband, Bob share their Florida home with an elderly cat, a special needs pug and a rescue “super-mutt.”  She loves to walk the beach and watch the sunsets, walk at the park looking for alligators and walk the dogs trying to tire them out.
