Evan Porterfield serves as a Membership and Communications Coordinator, leveraging his background in communications and association work to support his clients by driving member engagement.

Evan graduated from the University of Indianapolis with a degree in Communications and an emphasis on public relations and media. While there, he served as executive producer for UINDY TV, the school’s sports and news broadcasting platform. He also worked as an account executive for UIndy’s in-house communications and advertising agency, developing his marketing and communication skills.  A former RGI meetings intern, his background in association events allows him to better understand the full scope of association work.

Outside of work, you can find Evan listening to his collection of CDs, taking photos at a sports game, or traveling and trying new things. You might spot Evan courtside at a Pacers or Fever game as he works as a social media specialist at night for PS&E. One of Evan’s goals is to always grow and be a “lifelong learner.”
